Portrait Guide

Summary of the meaning of three areas in the photo- the area above the subject's head, the photo's right side, and the photo's left side

Your Right Side

The left side of the photo (your body's right side) is your persona. It's who you project to the rest of the world. This energy is related to your external actions and behaviors, and it represents the energy you lead with and the skills you have in relating to others.

Bright, vibrant colors in this area may indicate that you're feeling confident, outgoing, and energetic.

Muted colors in this area may indicate you're more introverted, that you're experiencing some emotional or physical challenges, or that you're holding something back.

Above Your Head

The area above your head, also referred to as the "crown", represents your current energy. It reflects your hopes, goals, and aspirations. It represents your connection to yourself- your spiritual growth, intuition, and awareness.

A vibrant crown may indicate a strong sense of purpose and a strong spiritual connection.

Muted colors in this area may indicate mental fatigue or a disconnection from your higher self.

Your Left Side

The right side of the photo (your body's left side) represents your view of yourself. It represents the lens you see the world through and how you process emotions. This is also the area where both your innermost desire and innermost turmoil are located. The energy here often indicates your intuitive sense of what needs to happen.

Vibrant or harmonious colors in this area may indicate a positive and nurturing environment.

Muted or clashing colors in this area may indicate that you aren't feeling grounded in this version of yourself and need to practice some self-care, or that you aren't feeling connected to your personal goals.

Summary of the meanings behind the colors found in an aura photo

Aura Colors

Red

Red in an aura portrait often indicates the person is going through, or is on the verge of, a big change or major life event like moving, a break-up, or a new job. Red is associated with vitality and passion. People with red in their auras are fearless and can be a force of nature. Red is related to physicality and manifesting desires in the material world. They are rooted in reality, A ruby red indicates a state of strength, whereas a muddy, dark red indicates a situation in which they're physically or mentally exhausted or overworked. People with red in their auras may be aggressive, shallow, and selfish, and may rely on physical reward systems, like eating or drinking too much. Red also indicates that they may be going through a situation that calls upon their character- their courage, survival instincts, leadership, and willpower. Red is often found in the auras of people with physically demanding jobs or who work in creative fields.
